Vintage International is a publisher dedicated to bringing great literature from around the world to your eyes. At the same time, these books will be your guide and map to life. They will help you understand where you are and help you find where you are going. Driven by this idea, the overall brand design is based on the concept of maps and compasses, and common design elements from maps are extracted to form the brand. The concept of the map was also applied to the book editorial system to help the publisher's books to be uniform and unique at the same time.复古国际是一家致力于将世界各地的优秀文学作品呈现在你的眼前的出版社。同时,这些书籍将成为你的人生指南和地图。它们将帮助你了解自己身在何处,并帮助你找到你要去的地方。在这样的理念推动下,整体的品牌设计以地图和指南针为概念,提取了地图中常见的设计元素来构成品牌。地图这个概念也被应用于书籍的编辑系统来帮助该出版社出版的书籍在具有统一性的同时具有独特性。





Editorial System

The editorial system of this publishing brand is also derived from the main concept of “maps”. Maps are often presented in a large, single, foldable format. Expanding the compass logo on the map resulted in a new grid system. This large sheet, when folded, becomes a book jacket wrapped around a book. The large, foldable jacket and the arrows on the four edges are the main elements that make up this editorial system to ensure the systematic nature of the publication.本出版品牌的编辑系统同样来自于“地图”这个主要概念。地图经常呈现的一个状态是大幅的,单张的,可折叠的。将指南针logo在地图上扩展得到一个全新的网格系统。这个大幅的纸张在折叠后就会成为一个书衣包裹在书籍上。大尺寸的,可折叠的书衣和四条边上的箭头作为主要元素构成了这个编辑系统来保证出版物的系统性
